2025 Outlook for the BTR Sector Is Positive, Says Multi-Housing News

According to a recent article published by Multi-Housing News, What Will 2025 Bring for the SFR/BTR Sector?, “the overall sentiment for SFR/BTR in 2025 is positive, pointing to a steady year.”

In fact, industry professionals studying the multifamily market and the BTR communities emphasized the resiliency of this particular asset class noting that “...BTR sector has shown it can weather the storm in the face of major supply concerns across the country.”

Additionally, it notes that what has caused BTR communities to become increasingly in high demand has to do with Millennials choosing to rent rather than purchasing a home since the latter is becoming more difficult. Millennials aren’t the only generation choosing to rent. The article further notes that Gen Xers and Baby Boomers also seek BTR communities since they offer more flexibility, and less hands-on maintenance while offering attractive amenities.

The article further points out that “strong demographic trends, continued demand for high-quality rental housing and favorable investment returns will remain robust, and the Southeast in particular will continue to be a hotspot for growth.”

That is great news since our BTR OZ Fund consists of three properties that are all located in the Southeast.

This sentiment was further shared during our BTR OZ Fund webinar where we discussed the strength of BTR as an asset class and what we believe makes this an attractive investment opportunity.
